Perez Hilton

After reading Lufton's opinions on the importance of text I realized sometimes too much is a bad thing. It is important to have an interactive website for the user to find information but with too many images and text it may be harder for a person to find the information they want. One of my favorite websites Perez Hilton is funny and a good procrastination tool but there is too much information on the website.
The constant advertisements and the tacky backgrounds can prevent the reader from reading the actual gossip. I also realized a lot of the advertisements do not relate to the message and if accidentally clicked on a reader can be connected to a different site. The website is supposed to be interactive and Perez does a good job of using different information and links but the other graphics can take a lot away from the information.
Text should be simple in my opinion if there is too much text a reader can be overwhelmed and images just distract the reader. Less truly is more!

I definitely agree that sometimes Perez goes a little crazy with the backgrounds and ads that he puts up on the site. Its hard to pick somewhere to look and it messes with the hierarchy I think. If he kept it a bit simplier I think it would be easier to navigate.
