Visual Message
It was a necessity that my resume was classy and clean, two adjectives I feel represent my personality. My resume is extremely legible and not chaotic whatsoever and this is what I was aiming for. My wordmark is simple yet powerful. I used a shade of gray for my last name to contrast the black and create more of a subtle feel for the eye. I continued to use some gray throughout the body to stay consistent and deemphasize information that is not necessary to read. I want a prospective employer to feel at ease while reading my resume and I believe I created that feel with the use of white space and legible fonts.
Audience
My resume will be sent out to public relations agencies and companies specifically targeted towards entertainment. I wanted to create something modern and professional, which is part of the entertainment industry.
Design Strategy
When I began designing my resume, I knew I wanted a clean cut and simple design. I choose a san serif font for my wordmark to give my first and last name clean edges and a modern feel. However, I mixed gray and black with uppercase and lowercase letters to give my wordmark dimension and some contrast. My final wordmark creates natural lines, which helped me easily place text in the body. I continued to use a san serif font throughout the body to keep the text looking simple and easy to read. I sought to create a resume that looked professional, classy, and simple yet powerful.

I really like the use of the black and gray throughout the resume. Put all together, the two tones give the resume a clean cut, professional look with separate parts standing out on their own.
