Visual Message:
Through the design of my resumé I wanted to convey myself as an organized and creative individual. The primary purpose of my wordmark was to illustrate my creativity and capture a sense of my character. The use of grey and black in my wordmark conveys my multidimensional qualities, while the Bauhaus font stresses my contemporary style. The use of lines in my wordmark plays with the body copy and helps guide the reader down my resumé. I incorporated the use of line in my resumé to illustrate my unwavering determination and commitment to personal excellence. My resumé has a professional tone while staying creative.
Audience:
I think that my resumé is versatile enough to be sent to a variety of different employers. My primary employment targets, however, are public relations, marketing and advertising firms.
Design Strategy:
My design incorporates elements of simplicity, modernity, and creativity that communicate a message of professionalism and ingenuity to my audience. Initially, the wordmark is striking due to its mix of line, Bauhaus font, and two-tone. Within the scope of hierarchy it makes my name the most pronounced thing on the page and gives the reader a visual guide, via the lines, down the resumé. For this project I chose to combine the Bauhaus typeface for my wordmark and the Calibri typeface for my body copy because they are both sans-serif and do not detract from one another. The Bauhaus is very pronounced and draws the reader’s attention, while the Calibri is a very readable and rather neutral typeface that allows the Bauhaus to stand out. Ultimately, I wanted to make my resumé easy to read and professional.

I really like the way your word mark flows down the side of your resume, it's a really neat idea
I really like your resume. I think that the use of lines is very good and appropriately dictates where the viewers' eyes should go. The decision to make the inner line gray as well as the section headers was smart and looks very nice. The body of the text looks good as a straight line. I think that in most cases bullets need to be indented, but you made the right choice keeping them along the same straight line. It works well with the lines coming down from your wordmark.
The only bit of criticism I would give you, should you choose to use this in the future, is the layout of your skills section. At first glance I found it a bit confusing seeing the Microsoft and Adobe on one side of the divide, then their sub-softwares to the other side. However, once I took the time to look at it I understood it. It just depends on how much time a potential employer wants to look at it.
But overall I really liked it!

I like how you used your name to frame the resume and the lines reminded me of a retro look. Your resume is unique and shows you can be creative.
I really love the design of your resume. Your Wordmark is simple however flows so nicely into the body. The two black and gray lines coming down from your Wordmark are creative yet not too much. I also like how you kept the section headers gray next to the gray line it shows consistency but leads the eye to the black body text. I’m jealous, great job!
I like the way your lines manage to enhance your wordmark and at the same time guide the reader to the page. Also, the use of two lines instead of one makes it more original. I also liked that you used lines to separate the locations from the dates because it goes along with the long lines at the side of the page.
I like this a lot. When I first saw it I thought the lines might be too thick but they are definitely not overbearing and only help amplify all of your experiences. Nice job!
Easily one of the coolest resumes I've seen displayed. I compliment you for your wordmark because it is bold, interesting, and creates lines and hierarchy while acting simultaneously as decoration. Your text seems to be well-aligned and I like the use of grey and black. It adds some contrast which makes the sections of the document a little more clear and readable. You make good use of white space and everything seems in good proportion. Nice work!
