The websites I found this on, Brand New and The Dieline, noted that the company was beginning to cater their packaging towards women, and I think it’s going to be successful. Women most likely do most of the shopping for the family, so it is a good marketing idea.
The colors are described as “natural,” and I see what they’re saying. The colors are neutral, which pleases the eye. The yellow of the previous design was eye-catching, but I understand where they were coming from by changing it to fit their target demographic.

I prefer the new design over the old. Eating healthy is of interest to me, and that packaging reminds me of health food, but I know that it would be at a lower price. I think that the campaign/design will be successful if women feel the need to eat the fancy health foods but not at the fancy price. However, I know that the chips only look expensive, but they aren’t. I often buy health foods because they are organic and generally better for you because they are cheaper. If people did not buy healthier foods because they were too expensive, this could possibly be especially successful in this economy.

I like the new design of baked lays so much better than the old. I like the consistency of the new design with each bag being a natural color with a strip of a brighter color. It is a cleaner and more simple look and the design of the bag makes the product look more expensive.
I too prefer the new design over the old design. The bag now reflects the simplicity of the product. The splash of color across the top is a nice eye catcher and will help distinguish each flavor of chips. Are they changing the recipes too?
I agree, I also prefer the new design of the packaging and logo. I see how they want to appeal to people as baked chips that are healthy and natural. However, in a way, it is a little misleading considering they are still the same chips. But, the whole purpose of the logo is to create a new image for the product.
I agree with my classmates the new design is much better. The older bag was tacky and clashed with the weird yellow designed background. The look also goes along with natural baked marketing scheme because its uses natural colors that aren't too bright.
