Were they sent to Hell? Worse. Wisconsin.

I'm going to be honest:  the most I know about our great cheese state is that is was the substitute for Hell in one of my favorite movies, Dogma.  Bartleby and Loki were sent there instead of the fiery pit, and their desperation to get out was the instigation behind the film's entire plotline.  So obviously my conception of Wisconsin is slightly skewed and not all together favorable (though I'm sure residents of the state have many nice things to say about it).  ........But then I came across the logo.

The author of the article exhibiting this emblem called it "a bloody bundle of fish" that was being "dangled in front of a great white shark" in regards to how much people hated it and longed to voice their complaints.  The writer then went on to explain that while he found more fault in all the complaining going on about the logo, it still was "far from perfect" and had "many formal problems [...] starting with the typeface and color."  I find myself in agreement with him; it perhaps doesn't deserve all the ridicule it's receiving, but it certainly isn't what I'd want for my home state of Pennsylvania.  To be honest, I don't know what PA's logo is.  But Wisconsin's certainly could use some work; my biggest complaint is about the colors.  Honestly, what the hell is that?  Gross greenish-brown and pink?  Really, Wisconsin?  Really?  The idea is nice...but it needs loads of editing.
