After seeing the new logo, I realize that the old logo was definitely outdated and old fashioned looking. Compared to other logos for products, Snapple looked like it needed an update.
While remaking its logo, Snapple is redoing its image at the same time. The company is trying to create a new reputation for itself as a brand that does just make juice or iced tea, but instead, natural juice and iced tea. With its new logo and design, Snapple is trying to appeal more to a crowd that would appreciate drinking natural and healthful juice products.

The light colors and type face of the new bottle makes the product look much more natural and "close to home." The product is trying to look less "cheap" and similar to any other type of juice product. Overall, although everyone is used to the old Snapple logo for a lot of time, this new look definitely brings a new classy and more sophisticated image to the product. It looks like Snapple is trying expand its audience. It can appeal to a larger audience base now because a new crowd might think Snapple is a very healthy and natural product and will begin to drink it. Snapple will still be able to rely on its previous audience as well.

I like the new logo, but I feel like the old one portrayed more of the "close to home" look. When I see the old-fashioned logo I think of wholesome, made-from-scratch type of juice, but I guess they're going for a more sophisticated take on health drinks.
On a different note. I really like the packaging. The pastels and the images of fruit make it have a natural, almost organic feel.
I thought your analysis was very interesting. I do drink Snapple and had a dad who bought cases and cases of it when I was younger. I think that the new label is not very good, but that could be me not adjusting well to change. It definitely does make the dream seem more like ice tea and juice, however I always figured that the other label was unique and close to home like Maya said.
I think the packaging and font used looks a lot like other drinks and isn't very distinguishable.
My roommate and I were having a debate over the new snapple logo at acropolis the other day becasue we both ordered one, but each of us got a different logo. I like new logo, but I think it wil take some time for people to get used to because the old snapple logo is so recognizable. It reminds me of what tropicana did, except it doesn't look as generic.
I also like the new logo, its appearance is brighter and more appealing. I really like the contrast of the juice color and the label because looking back the label was too dark. I think the fonts used are more attractive as well.
