A Magazine that Can't be Saved by Graphics

While searching for current events I came across the news of Blender Magazine being shut down and publishing its final cover. This news shows how much the industry is struggling and when reading all current events of remodeling it surprises me that a magazine can't be saved. Some magazines have changed to the internet or have changed formats but Blender has just settled to close instead of trying to change its image or format. Obviously the music industry is to be blamed for the demise of the magazine but if the editors tried to reinvent the format maybe Blender could have been saved!

It's like an overload of print-versus-web in my Newhouse classes; that's all we talk about in COM107 too. But anyway, I do find it to be an interesting and thought-provoking topic; all these newspaper and magazine companies shutting down leads one to wonder about the future of media. I'm a bit torn on how I feel about that; while having access to international and entertainment news on the web is certainly convenient, there's really only so much screen-browsing one can take in a day without having one's head explode or at the very least develop a migraine. Hmmm.

I love this design! It is very interesting and i love the colors used. The red against the black and white create such a dramatic feel which matches the tone of kelly clarkson's expression.
